As a church family, we will be celebrating our annual ‘Above & Beyond’ giving day on Sunday 22nd October 2023. The Elders and staff have together identified three areas for support this year, and it is our belief that improvement in these areas will continue to help the people of HumeRidge know, grow, show and share the grace and truth of Jesus.

This year our chapel renovations began as a result of last year’s generous Above & Beyond giving. New staging and curtaining along with a fresh coat of paint has provided a much needed upgrade to this space. The planning for the removeable wall between the foyer and chapel is well underway and scheduled for construction later this year. Necessary extensions of storage areas are also being considered for the hall. Your gift to this project will help ensure greater flexibility in the use of these areas. We look forward to what new ministry prospects these renovations will present for our own church family and for the wider community.
An exciting opportunity has opened up for the Christianity Explained course which has been successfully run for decades by HumeRidge members Bob and Denise Hogarth. They have now acquired the copyright for CE and together with a team at HumeRidge are looking to refresh and relaunch this impactful gospel tool. HumeRidge is now the world-wide Christianity Explained distribution centre for materials and administration! Along with a newly written program for children and teenagers, a professional video presentation of CE will be produced – clearly presenting the gospel – to be used as a teaching or evangelistic tool. Above and Beyond funds will go towards the development and production of materials and the video to enable us to support those around the world seeking to understand the Christian faith.
Our Youth Ministry wraps up another huge year of fun-filled Fridays with its annual Youth Camp at Currimundi on the Sunshine Coast in early December. Youth Camp is always an excellent opportunity for our teenagers to celebrate the year, their friends and the youth group as a whole.
The all-important input sessions provide a launchpad for extended discussions about faith in Jesus, with many attending having little to no church experience beyond Youth on a Friday night. Your Above and Beyond contribution to this project will help ease the costs associated with transport, facility hire, and resources required for another awesome Youth Camp experience in 2023.
