As a Church family, we will be celebrating our annual ‘Above & Beyond’ giving day on Sunday 20th October 2024. The Elders and staff have together identified four areas for support this year, and it is our belief that improvement in these areas will continue to help the people of HumeRidge know, grow, show and share the grace and truth of Jesus.

We are thankful for the roof over our heads, but our roof is in need of some much needed attention! Multiple leaks and a build-up of moisture have created some health and safety hazards around our Church building. Whilst most of the internal damage to walls, floors and ceiling tiles is covered by insurance, roofing experts have recommended replacing the entire roof. This will ensure structural consistency across our roof and efficient long-lasting water management, providing us with a safe and dry facility to deliver ministry for years to come.
HumeRidge continues its partnership with Kkuza Children’s Foundation in Uganda. Following the success of the school, their next big move is to purchase land next to the school property to establish a new meeting place for their community Church. This will save costs in rent and add value to the school in providing an extra building to use through the week. The Kkuza school and Church are having a significant impact in the Butamabala district – both reaching out to a predominately Muslim population, supporting families and sharing the Good News of Jesus.
Teen Missions International equips teenagers to experience life-changing opportunities in mission work around the world with an outlook to long-term mission involvement. Former HumeRidge members Jason and Cordelia Stoddart are the Base Cordinators on the Sunshine Coast and have identified need in upgrading some of their facility equipment to keep operations running smoothly for those training for mission trips. Ongoing maintenance on the large property requires the right machinery to effectively carry out the tasks. Contributions to this project will help offset some of these costs.
Our Youth Ministry is gearing up again for its annual Youth Camp at Currimundi on the Sunshine Coast. Youth Camp is always an excellent way for our teenagers to celebrate the year, their friends and being part of HumeRidge Youth! The all-important input sessions provide a launchpad for extended discussions about faith in Jesus, with many attending having little to no Church experience beyond Youth on a Friday night. Your Above and Beyond contribution to this project will help ease the costs associated with transport, facility hire, and resources required for another awesome Youth Camp experience in 2024.
