With Toowoomba’s refugee and migrant population ever growing, we want to do what we can to help them in their transition to living and working in Australia. Speaking the language of a country plays a huge role in how a person functions in society, however many refugees and migrants arrive in Australia with limited and sometimes no English language skills.

Our local schools do a wonderful job in teaching the English language to refugee and migrant children, and oftentimes a child in the family becomes a translator for their parents who don’t receive the targeted language development lessons that their child does. We want to do what we can to help with this, and so once a week we run English Classes here in the Church building.
