Alpha Course

Have you got big questions? Questions that you’re not sure who you can turn to for answers? Questions like ‘Is there more to life than this?’ Or ‘How can I have faith?’

If so then you should try Alpha!

Alpha is an interactive series exploring life’s big questions. Maybe you feel like there is a God out there somewhere, but you’re not sure how to connect with him? Or perhaps you know people who attend church every Sunday, and you’re interested to learn why it is they do that? Alpha is a chance for you to ask these questions and more, to explore your own beliefs and values, and maybe even challenge them.

We have run the Alpha series several times here at HumeRidge, and it’s always something that has a big impact on participants. The series is structured in small group format, and involves a meal, viewing an ‘episode’ together, and then a group discussion. Alpha is a no pressure program, and participants are never forced to ask or answer questions, pray or read aloud. You are invited to participate in a way that you feel most comfortable with, even if that is simply by observing and listening. The series is completely free and all materials are provided for you.

Alpha is also a fantastic series to invite a friend along to who might be interested in exploring Christianity, but isn’t ready to commit to a Sunday service.

The course will run on Sunday evenings at 6:30pm in the welcome lounge at HumeRidge Church of Christ, beginning on the 23rd April.
